The group is founded in 1992, they made good musical arrangements and tradition research. They had great success in the current SON JAROCHO movement (A musical and dance genre from Veracruz, Mexico). The repertoire of SON DE MADERA comes mainly from the sones of the traditional Fandango on the south of Veracruz. The group had appeared on various music festivals, art centers, tours in such countries as Morocco, Canada, Holland and USA.
